Tees Transporter Bridge – Box Frame – Ceramic Tile – Gift
Opened in 1911, the Tees Transporter Bridge links Middlesbrough and Port Clarence. Its suspended gondola was designed to carry passengers and vehicles across the River Tees while leaving the high span clear for shipping. The bridge's steel framework is silhouetted against a glowing sky, with reflections in the river below.
One 11 × 11 inch (28.4 × 28.4 cm) solid white wood box frame, 20 mm wide and 33 mm deep, supplied with a white mount and glass. The frame can be wall mounted or displayed freestanding using the strut on the back.
The 8 × 8 inch ceramic tile in the centre appears to float above the background and is mounted 10 mm from the white backing board.
The item will arrive securely packaged for safe delivery.
