Lindisfarne Castle – Box Frame – Ceramic Tile – Gift

Lindisfarne Castle began as a Tudor fort in the 1550s, guarding Holy Island during a period of conflict along the Scottish border, and remained a government garrison until 1893. In 1901 Country Life founder Edward Hudson commissioned architect Sir Edwin Lutyens to transform it into a holiday home, with Gertrude Jekyll creating the nearby garden. This photograph captures the castle in warm evening light above its dramatic rocky approach.

One 11 × 11 inch (28.4 × 28.4 cm) solid white wood box frame, 20 mm wide and 33 mm deep, supplied with a white mount and glass. The frame can be wall mounted or displayed freestanding using the strut on the back.

The 8 × 8 inch ceramic tile in the centre appears to float above the background and is mounted 10 mm from the white backing board.

The item will arrive securely packaged for safe delivery.
