Hylton Castle – Box Frame – Ceramic Tile – Gift
Sir William Hylton built Hylton Castle as a fortified residence around 1400. Its surviving gatehouse, decorated with heraldic carvings, reflects the influence of the Hylton family and remains one of Sunderland's most distinctive medieval buildings. The castle's stone facade is shown across a green lawn beneath a blue sky.
One 11 × 11 inch (28.4 × 28.4 cm) solid white wood box frame, 20 mm wide and 33 mm deep, supplied with a white mount and glass. The frame can be wall mounted or displayed freestanding using the strut on the back.
The 8 × 8 inch ceramic tile in the centre appears to float above the background and is mounted 10 mm from the white backing board.
The item will arrive securely packaged for safe delivery.
