Bamburgh Castle - Rock Pools, Northumberland

Bamburgh Castle, a Grade I listed treasure, stands sentinel near the quaint village of Bamburgh, its imposing presence whispering tales of ancient grandeur. For it was on this very site that the Celtic Brittonic fort of Din Guarie once stood, a stronghold that may have served as the capital of the kingdom of Bernicia, its roots tracing back to the dawn of the 5th century. As the centuries unfold, the whispers of history grow louder, echoing through the castle's stone walls, beckoning us to uncover the secrets hidden within its ancient stones.
